RATTLER BAND UIL RESULTS

On Wednesday, April 14, the Navasota Rattler Band traveled to Brenham High School to compete in the Region 27 UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest. The Band earned the UIL ‘Sweepstakes’ award, which can only be achieved by earning a Division I rating, which is the highest, in concert, marching and sight-reading within the same school year. This is the first time since 2010 that the Rattler Band has achieved this status! We are very proud of our Band Students!

DIAMONETTE SPRING SHOW

Mark your calendar’s. NHS Diamonette’s Spring Show is Thursday April 29th at 7:00 p.m. in the NHS Rattler Gym. Pre-sale wristbands go on sale Monday April 12th for $8.00 each. Wristbands available at the HS reception desk with Mrs. Harris.

GREAT LEARNING IN OUR COSMETOLOGY LAB

Navasota High School's "first ever" Cosmetology Students are breaking in the new Lab! The students are excited about working on their skills doing pin curls, roller sets and manicures. (click for photos!)

NHS NEWS AT UIL ACADEMIC COMPETITIONS

Last week NHS students competed in UIL Academic competitions. The following students placed in their competitions.
Sarah Wisner- 3rd place Copy Editing, 3rd place News Writing, and 4th place Feature Writing
Shelby Seale- 6th place News Writing
David Yorek- 3rd place Lincoln-Douglas Debate
Hunter Haug- 1st place Persuasive Speaking
Emily LaBlue- 5th place Persuasive Speaking

Good luck to Sarah, David, and Hunter as they compete at the Regional Academic UIL competition on April 17th at Stephen F. Austin University.

2021-2022 ACADEMIC CALENDAR APPROVED

Navasota ISD Board approved and adopted our official calendar for the 21-22 school year. Option C was the choice from both the community survey and the district survey that was shared out.  There were 255 community responses and 220 district responses.  Thank you for your help and input! NAVASOTA ISD RECOGNIZES ATHLETIC TRAINERS

March is National Athletic Training Month! Navasota Sports Medicine would like to recognize our outstanding Athletic Training Student Aides for all their hard work this year. These students are an essential part of the Sports Medicine Program at Navasota High School and work very hard to contribute to the success of our athletic programs. Please join us in thanking them for all that they do!
